A woman  in Chicago was diagnosed with the SAR-CoV (coronavirus) after showing pneumonia-like symptoms, U.S. health officials have stated.

The woman is stated to be in her 60’s and recently returned from a trip to China. She is doing well and mianly just being monitored for symptoms, as well as those who she came into close contact with.

The CDC has said the risk to Americans remains low, but they are sure that more cases will come up in later weeks, given that the incubation period of the virus has been estimated to be roughly two weeks.

Health officials in China are continuing to monitor the progress of the illness, with Wuhan specifically enacting travel bans. We will keep you informed as more information develops.
